Dungeons and Dragons API

Description

This API provides access to the 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons System Reference Document (SRD). It allows developers to retrieve information about spells, classes, monsters, and other game elements through a modern RESTful interface.

What can you use it for?

Build a bestiary viewer, a spell lookup, or a character/encounter manager in minutes using the SRD dataset. You can query monsters, spells, classes and items via simple REST calls or the GraphQL endpoint for complex queries. The API and data are open-source so you can self-host, modify, or contribute back. Note the API only contains SRD-licensed content (not all official D&D proprietary content).
